Abstract

Bogor Regency is one of the districts that has a high dropout rate in basic education. The average dropout rate occurs at the junior high school level, one of which has occured in Benteng Village, especially Gunung Leutik Village, Bogor. The high dropout rate in 2018 showed that the 9-year basic education goals stated in the 1945 Constitution have not been realized. As a form of community service, the academic community of the Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB University in collaboration with SMP Negeri 1 Ciampea and the Nusa Educator Community organized a program named “teaching activities in schools”. The program was held for sixth months, started on August 16, 2021 - January 14, 2021. Many people confront the problem of handling inorganic waste, this is also confronted by the people of Catur Tunggal Village, Depok District, part of Sleman Regency, D.I Province. Yogyakarta. Catur Tunggal Village is known as a village with a leading sector with several well-known campuses as the best educational places in Indonesia such as UGM, UNY, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta and others. In addition, there are also many hotels and large malls. This encourages the construction of boarding houses, the construction of hotels, malls, restaurants and the rapidly growing tourism sector. The rapid development has an impact on the environment, one of the impacts that arise is the problem of dealing with construction waste such as paralon waste, wood waste, cement wrapping paper and others. Currently, the waste generated from the construction sector has not been utilized optimally. If paralon waste is managed and utilized properly and processed by skilled hands, it can turn out to be interesting goods and have a high selling value. Opposite, it can also be an exotic work of art. It is enough with simple equipment and cheap additional materials to produce art items such as decorative lamps, bed lamps, wall decorations, sculptures, and so on, so that it is hoped that they can overcome the problem of inorganic waste, increase people's income and reduce unemployment.

Abstract

Sumberejo Village is located at the foot of Bukit Banyak and north of the Among Tani City Hall, which consists of three hamlets, namely Dusun Krajan, Dusun Sumbersari and Dusun Sumberejo. Sumberejo village has potential in agriculture. To accommodate the activities of the farmers, the “Barokah” Farmers Group was formed. The development of technology and fertilizers used in agriculture is increasing so that the use of chemical fertilizers is increasingly difficult to avoid. Over time, this will have a serious impact, especially on soil nutrients. In addition, things that need attention are agricultural waste in the form of vegetables and cheese waste (whey) generated from the activities of the cheese-making industry. Cheese waste (whey) is generally thrown away in rivers and can cause an unpleasant aroma, but it will also trigger the growth of disease-causing microorganisms. The objectives to be achieved from this training activity for the manufacture of natural bioactivators are to utilize vegetable waste and whey as an alternative source of microbes in the manufacture of bioactivators and to provide information on public knowledge about the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer from agricultural waste using independently produced bioactivators. this activity is to present the material and then carry out direct practice to make natural bioactivators. Then an evaluation of the products produced and the processes carried out by the training participants is carried out.
